Mayor's Pacific Islands Environmental Symposium

May 8-10, 2000. Honolulu Clean Cities' display
at the Pacific Islands Environmental Symposium featured information
on Propane, Biodiesel, and Electric Vehicles. Activity Books, pens,
and keychains were distributed to the symposium participants, which
included Hawaii environmental businesses and government and business
leaders from Hawaii, Guam, Palau, Micronesia, American Samoa, Saipan,
and elsewhere.
Electron Marathon
(sorry, no photos yet)
March 25, 2000. Members of Honolulu Clean Cities
were scorekeepers for the Electron Marathon, which featured nineteen
high school teams' student-built electric cars. The event was broadcast
on the local ABC affiliate (KITV).

| Clean Cities participated
in the Honolulu City Christmas Parade and the vehicle exhibit
following the parade. The parade was televised live and an
estimated 50,000 people attended. Two electric buses, a GEM
"neighborhood electric vehicle," a propane pickup truck, and
a propane tow truck were featured in the parade. |
