In Hawaii:

AGENDAHawaii Mini-WEATS
Maui Community College, Ka Lama Room 103
July 20-21, 2005
8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
The Hawaii Mini-WEATS is a 2-day version of the annual week-long Wind Energy Applications and Training Symposium held on the Mainland, a program of Windpowering America and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory:

"WEATS is designed for project planners, developers, utility officials, and engineers who are directly involved with energy projects, or are considering wind energy development, and want to learn more about wind energy technology applications.

The seminar will provide participants with practical knowledge and analytical tools for conducting project pre-feasibility and identification analysis and implementing wind energy projects large and small. Participants will learn from experts and business leaders about the capabilities of the technology, and about economic and financial aspects of sustainable project development."

The Hawaii Mini-WEATS will allow interested Hawaii participants to learn about wind energy without having to travel all the way to the Mainland for the full WEATS course. The agenda is under development.
