Acknowledgements - The Hawaii Drought Plan, Phase 1, was completed in approximately six months with involvement from the government and private sector stakeholders listed below.  The Plan was developed with technical assistance from the Bureau of Reclamation using existing government agency staffing and resources, without the use of federal or state funds.  The Water Resources Committee, Water Supply Task Force, Agriculture and Commerce Task Force, and Environment, Public Health and Safety Task Force were comprised of individuals from the federal .  Statewide public informational meetings were held to solicit public input on the Hawaii Drought Plan, which was subsequently finalized and sent to Reclamation in August 2000.
