Healthy Hawai`i 2000 is a project that develops
health promotion and disease prevention objectives for the state for
the year 2000. This project is the state component of the national
Healthy People 2000 initiative which has similar objectives. The goals
of both national and state initiatives are to increase the span of
healthy life, reduce health disparities, and achieve access to
preventive services for all people.
