The Friends' bookstore is located in the basement of Kaneohe Public Library with three rooms of more than 40,000 books, magazines, VHS and audio cassettes, DVDs, CDs and more!   Please come to browse, buy, investigate volunteer opportunities, or all three!

The Friends of Kaneohe Library's Book Sale is held
on the following days:

10:00 AM -- 3:00 PM
 6:00 PM -- 7:45 PM


We are generally closed on State Holidays -- however, we will be open on
Wednesday, June 11, 2008 ( King Kamehameha I Day) from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Non-Fiction and Hawaiian Shelves



The Friends of Kaneohe Library is involved in, and supports, your library with:

  • Purchases of books (including large print), magazines and books on tape
  • Cabinets and other furnishings for the library
  • Summer reading programs
  • Adult programs throughout the year
  • Funding for staff to attend conferences and workshops
  • Remodeling of staff lounge and lockers for Library staff 's comfort and convenience
  • Redesign of Library's interior, with new custom-designed furniture
  • Seniors Outreach Project
  • Please ask about our volunteer opportunities. We would love to have you join us! Donations of books and other items are welcomed!
